Identity exploration involves examining how your sense of self has been shaped by relationships, culture, trauma, neurodivergence, and life experiences. Many people begin this work during times of transition, burnout, or after realizing that the life they’ve built no longer fully fits.
In therapy, identity exploration is not about finding a single “true” version of yourself, but about creating space for authenticity, choice, and integration. This work may include exploring values, roles, gender or sexual identity, cultural identity, neurodivergence, and the parts of you that learned to adapt in order to belong or stay safe.
Using a trauma-informed, relational, and parts-based approach, therapy supports you in reconnecting with your inner wisdom, increasing self-compassion, and building a sense of identity that feels grounded, flexible, and genuinely your own.
